Internal exposure dose evaluation based on the newest ICRP model

In order to calculate the dose (committed effective dose) for ingesting radionuclides into the body, we shall utilized various data and models that show the dynamics of the nuclide in the body. These data and models are provided by the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) Basic Recommendations and accompanying publications. The ICRP has released the new ICRP 2007 Basic Recommendation based on the findings obtained since the publication of the 1990 Basic Recommendation, which is the basis of Japan's current radiation protection standards.
We are conducting research on internal exposure dose assessment in response to this new basic recommendation.
