Takahiro IGARASHI is a Leader of Research Group for Corrosion Resistant Material at Japan Atomic Energy Agency. He received his doctor degree of science in Physics from Niigata university in 2003. After working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Engineering, Yamaguchi University, at Nagoya Institute of Technology, at Faculty of Engineering, Nagoya University, at Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute, he has been a researcher at Japan Atomic Energy Agency since 2007. His main research themes are computational science modeling of nuclear material corrosion, first-principles calculation of basic mechanisms of nuclear material corrosion, and data science research of corrosion phenomena. He is a member of the Japan Society of Corrosion Engineering, the Iron and Steel Institute of Japan, and the Electrochemical Interface Simulation Consortium.
